Save on EV chargers at work with the Workplace Charging Scheme

Workplace EV charger installer

The EV charger Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme that provides support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charger installation.

It was introduced more than 5 years ago to encourage and assist workplaces and offices to install electric vehicle charge points for employees and customers. It is a part of the UK commitment and drive to achieve envirnomental targets, and to increase our reliance on clean green renewable energy to help reduce the UK carbon footprint.

EV Charge Points for Business & Organisations

The scheme is aimed at businesses, charities and public sector organisations who are eligible to apply. If the application is successful, you can then proceed and instruct an approved electric vehicle charger installers in the UK, such as ADY Electrical, to carry out the charger point installation. Note, in order to receive the vouchers, you must use both an approved EV charger installer in the UK, and the EV charger units and equipment must be sourced from the Government Approved list of charger manufacturers.

At the time of this article, the scheme vouchers can contribute up to £350 per EV charger point installed up to 40 charge points. There are further savings available depending on other factors, such as the number of charger points installed, as well as favourable tarrifs for energy. ADY Electrical are able to help you with the planning and the Workplace Charger Scheme application, to simplify the process and to ensure you are maximising the savings available for your workplace or office.

Approved Workplace EV Charge Point Installers

We are fully accredited by the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) to access the Electric Vehicle Workplace Scheme funding, meaning we are fully approved to complete the EV charger installation for your office or workplace, and to ensure you are entitled to take advantage of the OZEV scheme if applicable.
