When businesses employ people who are working with electrical appliances, regulations state that appliances must be safe, to prevent harm to the workers. Most types of electrical equipment require testing at regular intervals to ensure continual safety. The interval between tests depends on both the type of appliance and the environment it is used in.
Evidence of testing must be clearly visible to workers in the form of 'Passed', 'Tested For Electrical Safety' and 'DO NOT USE after' labels attached to various parts of the electrical equipment they operate.
It is necessary to carry out these tests by Law, and usually a requirement for insurance purposes. Failing to carry out regular PAT Testing can result in dangerous electrical appliances causing accidents, as well as legal action.
As part of our industrial and commercial services, ADY ELECTRICAL Limited can also carry out regular electrical inspections and testing within your workplace or factory to ensure appliances and components are safe and meet all current Health and Safety legislation.
Our electrical engineers are Part P Registered and NICEIC Approved Contractors, and so are fully qualified to test and certify equipment for your business to maintain the relevant standards.
